Lafayette, CO Ground-Level Psyche at The Muse Performance Space

Vibraphonist Rocco Lc Williams returns to Denver, bringing the music from his Los Angeles-based experimental jazz project, Ground-Level Psyche. While in Los Angeles, Rocco has made a name for himself as someone who pushes what is possible on the vibraphone as well as integrating new and exciting experimental techniques into his music. Rocco has spent extensive time at California Institute of the Arts being mentored by critically acclaimed composer and saxophone player, Steve Lehman, who has been a core inspiration for this project as a whole. Williams' purpose for this project is to challenge the players in the ensemble to create unique sound environments as a collective to help set the stage for the improviser to explore new soundscapes, and hopefully generate uses for the previously thought, unusable sounds and exploratory concepts of each instrument.
